Q&A with Tyler

Q: Where did you grow up?

A: I grew up all over the Minneapolis metropolitan area.

A: My favorite thing about living in LA is definitely the variety. Whether its food, culture, music, architecture, even climate, there is no shortage of things to experience and discover here. I love being able to go from the mountains, to the beach, to the city all in one day.

A: Growing up I spent a lot of time with my mom’s parents, who love music and have a huge appreciation for many styles of music, and that appreciation was definitely passed down to me. As a result I’ve always listened to just about everything, so I think my path to becoming a DJ was only natural. I always used to make mixes and burn cds for get togethers with friends and family, which eventually led to my grandfather getting me a turn table for Christmas when I was about 16. A couple years later, I answered an add for a company hiring wedding DJs, got the job on the spot, and fell in love with the craft.

A: I love being able to contribute to a day that most people consider one of the most important days of their lives. Being apart of something so meaningful and intimate is really quite special, and I appreciate every minute of it. It’s little moments like a groom’s face as his bride walks down the aisle, or the father of the bride tearing up during a heartfelt speech that I really appreciate the most.

A: I Wanna Dance With Somebody – Whitney Houston, Hot In Herre – Nelly, 24K Magic – Bruno Mars

A: Searching for and discovering new music, traveling to areas I have never been to, hiking, camping, museums, and going to see live music are some of my favorite hobbies outside of work.
